Arts Alliance Announces New Executive Director

The Clackamas County Arts Alliance has announced Kirsten Rian will take the reins as executive director in the coming new year, replacing Cheryl Snow, who is retiring after more than 20 years leading the arts and culture-based nonprofit.

Kirsten comes to CCAA with over 20 years of nonprofit leadership, both as an executive director and development consultant, and brings extensive experience in arts advocacy, program development and community outreach.

Kirsten is a native Portlander with deep roots in Clackamas County. A working visual and light artist with international exhibits to her name, Kirsten is also widely published as a writer. She holds a Masters of Fine Arts in writing from Portland State University and received her undergraduate degree from Lewis & Clark College.

“I’m immensely honored to help further the incredible arts advocacy work and arts accessibility initiatives CCAA has brought to Clackamas County throughout these past 25 years,” says Kirsten. “Communities grow in strength and depth in part through the things they share, and arts programming is an essential component of any vibrant, healthy community. I’m looking forward to furthering CCAA’s important work and indelible presence in the county.”

Kirsten begins her new role Jan. 7, 2019.
