Lone Elder Pizza Robbed at Gunpoint Early Saturday; Undisclosed Amount of Cash Stolen

Lone Elder Pizza in Canby was robbed at gunpoint early Saturday morning, the restaurant reported on its Facebook page this week.

Lone Elder said the incident occurred during closing and that no employees were hurt.

Canby Police Department Lt. Jorge Tro said the robbery was reported close to 3 a.m. Lone Elder closes to the public at 2:30 a.m. on Fridays.

Lt. Tro said one employee was there at the time to close up, and confirmed an “undisclosed amount of cash” was stolen.

“At this point, we are actively working on some leads and are not releasing any other information,” he said.

He anticipated that more information would be shared as the investigation progresses.
