Clackamas Agencies Respond to Early Morning Brush Fire on Highway 213 in Oregon City

You never know what might happen on night shift patrol for the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. One particular call early Monday morning turned out to be a little hotter than deputies expected.

While arresting a driver suspected of driving under the influence of intoxicants around 3 a.m., deputies noticed a brush fire that had broken out practically on the shoulder of Highway 213, near the Interstate 205 overpass. The fire was soon raging into the sky, as seen in a video released on the CCSO’s Twitter account.
