Milwaukie Man Killed in Rollover Crash on Stafford Road Near Wilsonville

A Milwaukie man was killed in a horrific traffic collision last week on SW Stafford Road north of Wilsonville.

Gregory Edwin Frogner, 65, was killed on July 12 when his 2006 Dodge Ram truck was struck by a 2015 Mercedes being driven by an unidentified 17-year-old male. Two other 17-year-old males were with him.

Police say Frogner was travelling southwest on Stafford Road, when the Mercedes struck him while entering Stafford from SW Newland Road. Newland Rd has a posted stop sign at that intersection.

All three juveniles were transported to an area hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries. Frogner’s passenger, Nicole Lee Cereghino, 43, of Oregon City, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and was transported for treatment.

The collision occurred at approximately 3:30 p.m. As result of the crash, one vehicle collided with a utility pole and power lines were down. SW Stafford Road was closed for several hours while investigators worked the scene.

The Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Tualatin Valley Fire & Rescue, Clackamas County Medical Examiner’s Office, Oregon City Police, the Clackamas County Road Department and PG&E.
