The Center received so many generous donations of backpacks and school supplies that they’ve extended registration until 5 p.m. today, in the hopes that more children and families can be served at tomorrow’s event.
Registration must be done on-site at 681 SW 2nd Avenue (behind McDonalds). It’s open to any and all Canby School District students, K-12.
The Canby Center’s Kathleen Hanberg, who is heading up the distribution this year, says tomorrow will be a fun community event, as the Canby Police Association will be on hand to barbecue, along with the Kona Ice truck and a photo booth.
The distribution will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 22.
