Canby Girls Swimming Takes Meet from Lake Oswego in First Dual of the Season

Canby hosted Lake Oswego in their first high school dual meet of the season. The Canby girls delivered a dominant victory, 111-59, while the boys from Lake O returned the favor, beating Canby 116.50 to 53.50.

The Cougar girls finished first in nine of the 11 events. Mairen Chard first in the 100 fly and 100 back. Kylie Hester first in the 100 and 50 freestyle. Avery Keinonen finished 1st in the 200 IM and 2nd in the 100 breaststroke. Alora Robbins finished 1st the 500 free and 2nd in the 200 free.

Halana Crispin was 2nd in the 100 back and 3rd in the 100 free. Kennedy Hester swam to 2nd in the 100 free and 3rd in the 50 free. Third place finishes were had by Natalie Doman in the 200 free, Erin Meredith the 200 IM and Elora Paulson in the 100 fly and the 100 breast.

Several Cougar boys also swam to top 3 finishes too. Jordan Spencer was 2nd in the 200 IM and the 100 Breaststroke. Jack Hayhurst finished 2nd in the 100 back. Connor DeRisio was 2nd in the 50 free and 3rd in the 100 fly. Hunter DeRisio finished 3rd in the 100 back. Jamison Chard swam to a pair of 3rd place finishes in the 200 free and 500 free. Thomas Diggles also had two 3rd place finishes in the 50 and 100 free.
