Canby Volleyball on a Tear, Winning 3 out of Their Last 4 Matches

Canby volleyball has been killing it lately, winning three of their last four matches.

As if that weren’t enough, the Cougars have impressed the OSAA enough to earn a nomination for their annual Sportsmanship Award.

The sole loss came last week against West Linn, who are undefeated in league play and ranked fourth in the state. Even so, the Lions barely escaped with the victory. It came down to the final set, with West Linn claiming the victory, 15-13.

It was only the Cougs’ second loss in league play, dropping them to 5-4 overall. League play continues this week, as they’ll see 5-5 Tualatin on Tuesday and then host Lake Oswego on Thursday, starting at 6:30 p.m.
