Cougar Basketball Season Nears Close

In Cougar basketball this week, each game has heavy implications as the playoff picture solidifies and both boys and girls teams are on the bubble.

The girls split their games this week, falling to West Linn 51-75 but beating Tualatin 52-48. They have a league record of 5-7 heading into their final two games, as they Lake Oswego on Tuesday and wrap up on the road against St Mary’s Academy on Friday. Theyre currently ranked 32nd among 6A schools, and with 32 playoff spots are well positioned to make the postseason.

The boys have a little bit of a longer shot. They’re at 36th, with only one game remaining. They’ll be on the road Tuesday against Lake Oswego.
